Artisan drink to tickle taste buds this Christmas

Gran Stead’s Ginger, the award-winning beverage business, presents its new speciality soft drink - a spicy concoction called Gran Stead’s Light and Fiery Ginger Wine, to accompany its popular Gran Stead’s Dark and Mellow Ginger Wine.  It is available to order now and is bound to tickle the taste buds during the winter festivities ahead.

“Our ginger based products sell all year around, but we have noticed that they are particularly popular during the colder months, when people appreciate a  smooth drink that gives a bit of a kick,” says Chris Knox, who with wife and business partner Rosemary developed the latest recipe.

“Our new drink is unashamedly fiery and is targeted at those who love their ginger.  It’s already proving to be a hit with our customers. It is especially popular with those who love their Scotch as it provides the perfect mix for this Christmas favourite.”

As well as making and marketing their drinks, Chris and Rosemary spend many weekends selling them at country shows and fairs, a full list of which is on the Gran Stead’s website (www.GranSteadsGinger.co.uk).

“We started out with Gran Stead’s Dark and Mellow, and soon introduced Gran Stead’s Traditional Still Lemonade and Gran Stead’s Still Lemonade With a Zing of Ginger.  And now, due to the tremendous response we’ve had from our customers, we’ve pushed forward to release Gran Stead’s Light and Fiery in time for Christmas,” says Chris.

Gran Stead’s drinks are prepared by Chris and Rosemary at Mile Oak Farm in East Sussex.  The full range of non-alcoholic drinks comprises:

  • Gran Stead’s Light and Fiery Ginger Wine (RRP£4.25 75cl)
  • Gran Stead’s Dark and Mellow Ginger Wine (RRP £4.25 75cl)
  • Gran Stead’s Traditional Still Lemonade (RRP £2.25  75cl)
